TipsyBot

About

TipsyBot answers one question: what can you actually make right now, with the bottles already on your shelf?

What it does

You tell TipsyBot what's in your bar — by talking to it, or by pointing a camera at a label — and it keeps track. Then you ask it for a drink. It only suggests things you have the ingredients for, and when it recommends something you're one bottle short of, it says so and offers to put that bottle on your shopping list.

Drinks you make go in a journal, along with what you changed and what you'd change next time. That's the part most recipe apps skip, and it's the part that makes the second attempt better than the first: ask for the same drink again and you'll get your version of it, not the printed one.

Who makes it

TipsyBot is built and operated by Aleks Movsesyan, and is part of movsfam.com. It's a small operation — if something is broken or missing, the person who can fix it will read your email.

Drinking, responsibly

TipsyBot is for adults of legal drinking age — 21 and over in the United States. It covers mocktails and zero-proof drinks as thoroughly as it covers cocktails, and it will happily plan a night around them. It doesn't sell alcohol, deliver it, or help you buy it.
